Program Description:
Enter your photos in our 2018 photo contest!
You've been to fabulous places and seen amazing things, and we want you to share your pictures of them! You could see your photo posted on our website or displayed in the library, and there will be prizes for category winners and runners-up -- with a $100 gift card for the Best in Show winner!

Contest Rules:
UWG students who participated in a study abroad program between November 2017 and August 2018 are eligible to enter the contest.
The contest has four categories, and each student may submit up to three photos total. These can be all in the same category  or in separate categories. For each photo, students should also include a description of what the photo is and why it was chosen for the contest. By submitting a photo, you're certifying that it's your photo, one that you took or that someone took of you with your camera or phone (if that's the case, let us know the name of the person who took the picture in the photo description).

2018 Photo Contest Categories:
Views and Vistas: The scenic, the grand, the colorful, the atmospheric – send us your photos of beautiful and interesting landscapes and architecture. We know you took at least one pic fit for a postcard. Send it to us!

Local Culture and Everyday Life: Send us your photos of local life, of people doing what they do every day and of the places and objects that make up daily life around the world.

Off the Beaten Path: Did your adventures take you somewhere unique, mysterious, unexpected? Share a photo of a place or experience that you thought was out of the ordinary and surprising -- whether it’s amusing or profound.

Go West Spirit: This category is for photos that capture the spirit of what it means to be a UWG student abroad. Photos should have something that identifies the participants as UWG students in them -- a t-shirt, logo item or other UWG symbol.

Contest Judging:
For the photos in the Go West Spirit category, OEA staff will select finalists, and winners in this category will be chosen from those finalists based on a social media poll at the beginning of the fall term. Photos in all other categories will be judged by a panel of faculty and staff.

By entering the contest students grant OEA the right to use their submitted photos in print and electronic promotional materials for study abroad. You also agree that if you are one of the winners, your photo can be part of our photo contest display.
